El Vado Motel Albuquerque, NM I Terrence Moore

TERRENCE MOORE
$1,000.00

"El Vado Motel was built in 1937 -I used to stay there and pay $35 a night.  I loved the chenille bed covers -it was a lot of fun.  It got run down and purchased by a developer in 2015 who intended to clear the site for redevelopment. The town fought a lengthy legal battle to conserve its heritage.  Ultimately the property was sold to the city in 2010, launching the renovation efforts. The motel is historic and one of Albuquerque's landmarks. It has reopened and, if you go to Albuquerque, you want to stay there". Terrence Moore
